IL-2 KCC - Soviet attack aircraft of the Second World War, created by Sergei Ilyushin. The most massive combat aircraft in the history of aviation, more than 36 thousand units were produced.
Serial production began in February 1941.
IL-2 took part in battles in all theaters of military operations of the Great Patriotic War, as well as in the Soviet-Japanese War. The designers called the aircraft they developed a "flying tank". Luftwaffe fighter pilots nicknamed the Il-2 "concrete aircraft" (German: Betonflugzeug). According to some Soviet authors, the Wehrmacht soldiers called him the "plague" (German: Schwarzer Tod, literally: "black death").
Machine-gun and cannon armament consists of:
- two 23 mm VYa wing cannons with 150 rounds per cannon;
- two ShKAS wing-mounted machine guns of 7.62 mm caliber, with 750 rounds of ammunition per machine gun;
- machine gun "UBT" in the rear cockpit, with 150 rounds of ammunition.
Fixed wing armament control - firing and reloading is carried out from the air network of the aircraft. Aiming for shooting is carried out using the so-called sight, consisting of a grid applied on the front glass of the lantern and a front sight on the fuselage. The UBT machine gun is mounted on a turret in the rear cockpit and allows you to fire at the sector: up - 45°, down - 12°, left and right - 35° from the neutral.
The bombing and special armament of the aircraft consists of internal and external suspension of bombs and special devices.
For the internal suspension of bombs in the center section there are 4 compartments with holders, each of which can be loaded with bombs with a caliber from 1 to 100 kg. For external suspension of bombs and special devices, there are beam holders under the center section, on which bombs with a caliber of 50 to 250 kg or special devices can be suspended. Electric bomb release control.
The model is quite rare, in good condition. The model was kept in a special rack.
