Panasonic GX700, is a popular digital-tuned portable AM/FM/SW radio that was launched in the mid-1990s .Its size is 27.4 × 14.9 × 8.8 cm, and its net weight is 1.1 kg without batteries. This machine can be used with AC Mains or 4 D cells .

The frequency modulation range of Panasonic GX700 is 87.5-108MHz, and the tuning step is 50KHz; the medium wave is 522-1611KHz, and the tuning step is 9KHz; the shortwave is 5.9-18MHz, and the tuning step is 5KHz .

Each band can store 8 stations, a total of 32 stations can be stored. The frequency can be tuned by clicking the tuning knob or the up/down tuning buttons. Usually the latter method is faster to tune. In the short wave band, after a few seconds of tuning, the speed will increase. After all , there is no short wave meter band option for this machine. It is also equipped with a treble/bass switch and a mono headphone jack.

The screen of this radio does not have a backlight. It has a mechanical volume indicator, the volume adjustment in the opposite direction, such as dialing down, the volume becomes louder, and vice versa. This is the typical style of Panasonic machines. The 10 cm speaker provides a good solution, because it provides a lot of mid-bass, but still maintains good clarity, its maximum output power is 400mW.
