Megjithatë, autori beson ende te një ideal arti, duke e parë artin si krijues të një gjithësie që lartësohet mbi realitetin. Ky roman paraqitet për herë të parë para lexuesit shqiptar. Ai i përgjigjet horizontit të pritjes së lexuesit kritik të sotëm (europian, po në veçanti edhe shqiptar), për problematikën, po edhe për realizimin estetik (është nga romanet më të veçanta të Pirandelos, po edhe nga më pak të studiuarit). Jemi përpjekur që stilin e veçantë të Pirandelos ku alternohen frazat e gjata me të shkurtrat, lapidaret, ironia, humori, dramatizmi, lirizmi, ta transplantojmë në gjuhën shqipe, pa e tradhtuar dhe duke ia ruajtur forcën komunikuese.
