Bon Appetit Magazine March 2024 Chicagos Best Hot Dogs Gluten Free Baking For Everyone

This is the latest issue of "Bon Appetit" magazine, March 2024 or Volume 69, Issue Number 2.x. The magazine was opened today for the first time just to get pictures so you are looking at a New Condition magazine it is a subscription issue so the address label has had the personal information blackened out so as to protect personal information. This monthly publication is an American food and entertaining magazine that typically contains recipes, entertaining ideas, restaurant recommendations, wine reviews and more. The magazine had its start in 1956 as a liquor store giveaway then in December of the same year it was first published as a bimonthly magazine in Chicago. In 1965 M Frank Jones of Kansas City bought the magazine and was owner, editor and publisher until 1970 when he sold it to the Pillsbury Company and there was an agreement that allowed him to stay on as editor. Then in 1975 it was sold to Knapp Communications and again Jones stayed as editor. Knapp also owned "Architectural Digest" whose editor Jones recruited to restructure "Bon Appetit". Paige Rense converted the magazine into a subscription based monthly magazine as it remains today. It was purchased in 1993 by Conde Nast Publications who is the owner today, they had a sister publication known as "Gourmet" which was discontinued in October of 2009. In the 2010's they became noted for increasing their web presence through the use of social media, their website and YouTube. In fact it gave them 40 percent increase in video revenue and a 60 percent increase in subscriptions generated from their social media plugs, podcasts and newsletters. They also have an app "epicurious" with over 60,000 of the recipes they have published over the years.
This issue has lots of enjoyable reading and recipes to try out in the kitchen giving the lucky buyer of this magazine hours of fun and enjoyment. It starts with the main feature article that is also the subject of the cover art titled 1) Best in Town by Dennis Lee with 8 dining favorites with the best Chicago style hot dog, next is 2) Where to Eat in Portland,Oregon by Jordan Michelman then 3)Sizzle it Out-by Nina Moskowitz showing her use of spices and Cajun type dishes then its 4) Gluten Free Baking for Everyone- wheat free flour recipes for cake, chocolate chip cookies and toffee cakes. In addition there is the monthly short articles and features with recipes for your entertainment, in addition there are lots of neat ads. This is a full color publication with 104 pages and ready for any reader who likes to cook or as a magazine to clip and save the recipes from.
