DESCRIPTION: STONES ARE GREEN AND ONE IS CHIPPED ALTHOUGH YOU CAN'T TELL WITHOUT LOOKING AT IT WITH A JEWELERS LOUPE. I BELIEVE IT IS SILVER. MAYBE 800 SILVER - OLDER PIECES DID NOT REQUIRE SILVER MARKS. LEAVING THE DECISION TO CLEAN OR NOT TO CLEAN, FOR THE BUYER TO DECIDE.
