It's got stereo speakers built in. The Elan is more self contained with just power and headphone connections. You can also put batteries in the Elan making it a true portable. You press an UP and Down button. The LCD display is clear. You can also have the back light on all the time, off, or on timer - handy if you want to save battery power. The LCD Shows the signal strength meter. This Elan has 5 station presets (which are very easy to setup). The Elan is modern, and in PEARL/WHITE.
