Blue Ridge dinnerware was made by Southern Potteries, Inc of Erwin, Tennessee from 1917 until 1957. Starting out as Clinchfield Pottery, it changed its name to Southern Potteries on April 8, 1920.
Peasant Village was one of the names the New York City ceramic distributor, importer and "jobber" Mittledorfer Straus used. The company was in business from 1907 until the late 1970's. Blue Ridge produced pieces for them.
