In June of 1934, President Roosevelt signed a bill reducing the airmail rate to 6¢ per ounce. A new airmail stamp was ordered from the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. The winged globe design of the 1931-32 issue was used again on #C19, but the color and denomination were changed.
