Telegraph stamps are stamps intended solely for the prepayment of telegraph fees. The customer completed a telegraph form before handing it with payment to the clerk who applied a telegraph stamp and canceled it to show that payment had been made. If the stamp was an imprinted stamp, it formed part of the message form. (Wikipedia Info)

Note:  The violet 1 pta stamp is from the 1949 series distinguished by a 131/2 perforation.  The other unused1935-36 4 pesetas blue stamp is distinguished by a black control number on the reverse of the stamp preceded by a large letter A.  This stamp is more common than the same stamp issued with a blue control number.
